To accomplish great things, we must not only act, but also dream; not only plan, but also believe.

– Anatole France

In early 2020, COVID-19 changed everything. Businesses were shuttered and livelihoods disrupted. Nearly overnight, families everywhere faced a sudden, unfamiliar new reality – hardship, uncertainty, fear, and loss. The hospitality industry was especially affected. Many restaurants and catering businesses did not endure.

Although Zelda’s Catering was designated an essential business, we found ourselves in a deeply challenging position: recognizing the urgent need to help others, even as we relied on the help of our community to survive.

In the aftermath, we emerged with a deeper understanding of vulnerability, and a new appreciation for the many things in life that could all be lost in an instant – livelihood, connection, stability. And the fragile, complex fabric which holds a community together.

From this experience the Something Truly Sweet model of giving arose: a holistic approach, strengthening our community as we support our neighbors in need.

By widening participation and expanding awareness, the Something Truly Sweet model unlocks exponential impact - the strength of an integrated, energized community: Friends and neighbors, businesses, charitable organizations, and houses of worship of every faith, working together as one team with shared purpose.

Few things in life are sweeter than a cool, creamy gelato—except the opportunity to help a neighbor in need. Gelati Biscoti™ scoops up all this sweetness into a single cup. And that’s… Something Truly Sweet.

Please Join Us in Our Mission –

Help sustain and strengthen our community; and deliver 100% of Gelati Biscoti™ sales to a truly sweet cause: Eliminating food insecurity in our lifetime. Beginning now and here.

Can a dream change the world? Yes, if we come together with passion, commitment and hope to make it so, and to believe.
